On Thursday, Tina Fey appeared with Eva Longoria and Jerry Seinfeld on NBC’s The Marriage Ref. They discussed whether flossing in bed – or anywhere other than the bathroom – is gross? And the answer to that is yes. See them discuss the problem in this clip!

’30 Rock’ gets renewed for a fifth season!
5 March, 2010 · Posted by under '30 Rock' · No Comments

Great news! NBC (well, technically Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios) announced today that they have renewed 30 Rock for a fifth season, saying:

“We are happy to give these early pickups to these critically acclaimed, incredibly funny comedies,” said Bromstad. “As a result, we look forward to continuing our rewarding partnership with the respective creative teams and talented show-runners for ‘30 Rock,’ ‘The Office’ and ‘Community’ as they all consistently deliver quality shows.”

Currently in its fourth season, “30 Rock” is averaging a 3.4 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers overall, with “30 Rock” originals winning the time period among men 18-34 and men 18-49 despite airing opposite the concluding half-hours of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and CBS’s “CSI.” “30 Rock” is the most upscale comedy on broadcast primetime television when ranked by its concentration of homes with $100,000-plus incomes in its adult 18-49 audience.

The Emmy Award-winning comedy series “30 Rock” is told through the comedic voice of Emmy and two-time Golden Globe winner Tina Fey (“Saturday Night Live”) as variety show producer Liz Lemon and features Emmy and three-time Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin (“The Departed”) as top network executive Jack Donaghy. Also starring are Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Scott Adsit, Jack McBrayer, Judah Friedlander and Keith Powell.

“30 Rock” is from Broadway Video & Little Stranger, Inc. in association with Universal Media Studios. The executive producers are Lorne Michaels (“Saturday Night Live”), Fey, Marci Klein (“Saturday Night Live”), David Miner (“Human Giant”) and Robert Carlock (“Friends”).

Fey, White, Poehler and more for ‘SNL’?
21 February, 2010 · Posted by under 'Saturday Night Live' · No Comments

Sources confirm to EW’s Michael Ausiello exclusively that Saturday Night Live is thisclose to signing TV legend Betty White to host the show for the very first time. But there’s a catch — and a pretty cool one at that.

White would not be hosting alone. Rather, SNL is putting together a “Women of Comedy” episode that would team the former Rose Nylund with several of her younger contemporaries. Ex-SNL MVP Molly Shannon is on board, I hear, and feelers have also been put out to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. (An NBC spokesperson insists no one has been confirmed at this time.)

This tag-team approach will allow Lorne Michaels to appease White-on-SNL zealots (half a million and counting!) without making the 88-year-old shoulder the burden of all 90 minutes on her own. And hey, anything that gives Fey an opportunity to dust off her Sarah Palin impersonation — as she’s rumored to be considering — is okay with me.

What do you think of this? Would you prefer Tina doing a “Women of Comedy” episode or host one all by herself? I will report more on this when available!
